Shift Overview:

  • 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, four 10 hour days, overtime worked at the end of shift and on Friday's

Summary

The positions within Shipping Associate are to assist in inventory control of parts and shipping product out to appropriate destinations. The employee is responsible for any and all warehouse related functions including inbound, outbound, and support processes to support our customers. The employee must maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Functions

  • Communicate verbally with co-workers

  • Pick parts based on sales order requirements

  • Receive and put away parts

  • Package and/or repackage materials and parts for shipment

  • Maintain inventory and related transactions using ERP system

  • Load and unload trucks

  • Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.

  • Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) to transport parts safely

  • Assist co-workers with heavy lifting of parts

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

  • Support other areas of the department as needed

  • Work overtime as directed by Supervisor

  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent education

  • Previous experience with material handling

  • Forklift experience

Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions

  • 1-3 years of parts inventory control and/or material handling experience

  • 1 or more years of ERP system experience

  • Experience creating BOL's

  • Knowledge of international shipping

Key Abilities Needed to Complete Essential Functions

  • Perform assigned tasks

  • Hear safety alarms and other co-workers

  • Perform basic counting tasks

  • Distinguish between different parts

  • Maintain balance when walking and standing on potential slippery work floor while pushing a cart with equipment/parts

  • Maintain balance when climbing on a portable step or ladders to retrieve parts

  • Use a computer to track down parts if necessary

  • Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds

  • Tolerate constant standing and walking throughout the shift

  • Use both hands for tool operation, carrying of parts, and assisting co-workers with heavy lifting of parts

  • Climb in and out of forklift/ tow motor safely

  • Demonstrate strength and physical stamina to complete the tasks safely

  • Remember task sequence and safety constraints
