Senior Consultant (User Experience Expert)

The Senior Consultant assists in the analysis, review, development, and inspection of processes and solutions in order to bring improvements to programs, projects and solutions. The Senior Consultant will use their experience working within Agile development environments to assist in the development of a strategy for implementation, and planning activities to include: messaging, vision, change road maps, business process maps, and user experience analysis to ultimately support the overall organizational goals. Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Leads the analysis, review, development, test and inspection of business process improvement, program management, and solution implementation efforts
  • Applies strong analytical and technical skills to document findings in accordance with approved quality procedures and standards
  • Performs system analysis to establish system functionality and how it benefits the user and the user experience. Documents functionality and creates suggestions for improvement best on best practices.
  • Performs user experience analysis using tools such as empathy maps, user journeys, personas, and other relevant tools.
  • Understands Knowledge Management processes, tools, and procedures and utilizes those per established policies
  • Works independently, interacts with clients and delivers presentations
  • Applies extensive knowledge and experience in analytic methodologies and principles
  • Leads the analytic techniques and defining project objectives and strategic direction based on information gathered
  • Provides leadership and vision to client and project teams around the methodology
  • Resolves complex problems bringing value to the organization
  • Collects, reviews and aggregates data into spreadsheets
  • Performs basic data analysis to support reporting and decision-making
  • Provides general meeting support, including printing, scheduling, and setup
  • Generates minutes and documents decisions or action items from meetings
  • Develops and revises content for Word documents and PowerPoint presentations
  • Ongoing establishes and monitors key risk indicators
  • Develops and delivers reports, dashboards, and other communications to meet the needs of program stakeholders, minimize risk, raise awareness and support decision making

Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required

  • Expert level knowledge and use of MS Office Suite (Sharepoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Knowledge of sam.gov


Experience:



  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in related field
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (with agile development team)



Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is estimated to be $80,000 - $150,000/year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. SRE considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Additionally, SRE adheres to all state and federal requirements regarding salary to ensure compliance with applicable labor laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of SRE's total compensation package for employees.

Work Environment:

The primary work location of this position is Washington D.C. Metro area, remote work is allowed but not guaranteed. If you live outside the commutable area, travel expenses are not reimbursed to the primary work location.
