Overview The Internal Communications Specialist plays a key role in developing content for various internal audiences and contributing to programs that keep employees informed, inspired and connected to our agency culture. As part of our Communications team, the Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for storytelling in written and digital mediums, engaging with employees across the agency, and helping to ensure employees have the information they need in the time they need it. This is a unique opportunity to help creatively support a wide variety of employee roles including coach operators. The Internal Communications Specialist should possess energy and enthusiasm to try new communication modes, have excellent interpersonal, writing and editing skills, and preferred experience in photo and video editing skills, excel at building cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, and have experience disseminating complex information into meaningful messages for employees. Physical Requirements Reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, carrying, pushing, pulling. Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work. Involves local travel to meetings and events. Work Location(s) This position will work at the Cascade Administration Building located at 2312 W Casino Rd, Everett, WA 98204.
