Academic Partnerships is hiring an Associate Executive Director to join our Field Marketing team. The Associate Executive Director will represent The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and recruit qualified educators into online degree programs throughout North Carolina. We are looking for an experienced educator, school administrator or K-12 sales professional that is passionate about higher education and understands the value of advanced degree programs.

***Please note that this role will need to be physically based in North Carolina and will require local travel subject to Covid conditions. ***

Responsibilities Include:


  • Market the online advanced degree programs offered by The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
  • Achieve monthly lead, application, and enrollment goals by organizing and facilitating 12-15 recruiting events (information sessions) each month.
  • Build new partnerships with districts throughout North Carolina, and leverage those relationships to build brand awareness throughout the school districts.
  • Consistently introduce and leverage the roll-out of marketing campaigns and promotions to new and existing school district (K-12) partners.
  • Utilize social media tools to expand recruiting efforts and promote The University of North Carolina at Pembroke's education programs.
  • Expand knowledge of regional and national education trends and effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.

Qualifications Include:


  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2 years of sales OR industry related Education experience
  • 2 years of teaching experience preferred
  • Higher Education experience a plus
  • Successful management of a large geographic sales territory
  • Track record of highly competent organizational and time management skills; professional success and continuous career growth preferably in the education industry
  • Ability to travel throughout the North Carolina territory
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated to achieve monthly/quarterly KPIs
  • Proficient with using Microsoft applications, CRM, and other systems.
