The AVP, Managing Director is a senior position working with executive leadership at our university partners to deliver results and scale their online programs. In conjunction with the RVP, Managing Director (MD), continuously demonstrate AP's value to partners through thoughtful strategy and planning, management, oversight of strategic operational matters and achievement of enrollment goals. This position provides advocacy and representation within AP on behalf of the partner universities.
Main Responsibilities
Work closely with the Managing Director team to implement and bring to closure key strategic priorities as outlined in the Partner Account Plans for each partner university which includes sales goals as well as enrollment and revenue goals
Work as part of the MD team to provide executive oversight for the launch of new partners and programs and build a sales funnel to partner expansion
Confirm all partner programs and program characteristics are built to meet the needs of the online learner and are structured to scale
Partner with enabling functions such as Marketing, Partner Support, Finance, and Enrollment and externally with partners as assigned to improve partner performance and meet enrollment goals
Assist the RVP in managing both internal and external projects such as enrollment and revenue modeling and partner facing multi-year strategic plans
Strategy & Planning:
Support goals and deliverable of the partner's 3-year performance plans
Ensure partner universities are appraised of AP's strategic initiatives and value propositions, and actively promote participation as assigned by Managing Director
Participate in both internal and external meetings with key stakeholders to ensure alignment, provide direction, review issues, updates, outstanding university approvals and deliverables, and address questions
Operational Management & Oversight
Manage and resolve with the Managing Director and when appropriate with internal AP stakeholders, any strategic operational and process improvement matters at the university that impede AP's performance and the University partners' performance
Work with the Managing Director to create and present partner-facing presentations such as data analysis related to performance, semi-annual reviews, market research and demand analysis, and competitive program information
Act as the internal escalation point of contact to Marketing, Academic Services & Products and Partner Support teams for assigned universities
Job Requirements
Master degree or higher preferred
Higher Education Industry Experience working with Executive leaders
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent leadership, relationship building, strategic thinking and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Business Development/Sales Experience a plus
Travel required
