Project Coordinator

The project coordinator will serve as the principal gatekeeper for the Marketing and Communications unit's project intake, development and completion. They will provide support to the team and facilitate project management and leadership in team update meetings. They will also work with the Vice President to manage the fiscal year's budget.

Responsibilities:

  • The position duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Support the vice president and other project team members during the course of all project lifecycles
    • Assist in the development of communication plans
    • Lead weekly project update meetings
    • Take notes during project meetings and distribute meeting summaries accordingly
    • Update project plans as needed in Asana
    • Plan, monitor, and coordinate tasks
    • Manage the unit's budget with the Vice President
    • Participate in and document needs assessment meetings
    • Assist in the data collection and validation efforts related to all unit projects

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Jr. Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Project Administrator or related role
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be diplomatic and smooth under pressure to help keep projects moving forward toward expected deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of MS suite programs, Asana (project management tool), and Adobe Suite
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be a positive, creative and collaborative team partner, especially when juggling competing priorities
