Overview

As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you will find, develop, and create new business opportunities for our sales team. You will be responsible for internally coordinating the leads you develop. You will work with Sales Executives to ensure each lead has a high-quality customer service experience. You will work with a Sales Development Manager to prioritize your efforts against PowerSchool's key objectives. You will be responsible for managing prebuilt personalized reports and communicating to your manager the progress against your efforts.

Senior Sales Development Representatives are distinguished by taking on additional project specific job duties which can include, but is not limited to, mentoring new Sales Development Representatives, cross sharing best practices across the broader Sales Team and working within territories which require an extra level of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing prospects, developing opportunities and selling to a select group of small to medium sized business accounts within our team-based setting
  • Communicating to marketing qualified leads within a set timeline
  • Building new opportunities through self-sourced outbound prospecting activities
  • Working directly with our Inside, Field and Enterprise Sales teams to pass along qualified opportunities
  • Developing a strong understanding of our prospects through solution selling techniques
  • Developing a strong understanding of PowerSchool's buyer personas to inform your prospecting efforts
  • Proactively engaging customers and prospects
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team
  • Mentoring new Sales Development Representatives and coaching current team on best practices
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 2 years Sales Development experience
  • Background in technology sales or lead generation a plus
  • Proven record successful software sales career
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must have strong skills in MS Office
  • Desire to grow within an organization

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
