Overview

As we continue to grow our software portfolio, the Software Product Management Specialist will be key in maintaining and growing our throughput for software features and experiences.

You will play a key role in collaborating with Engineering and UX on new projects, managing the product mobile apps roadmap and be a key decision maker in the agile framework that is established within the software development teams.

The Product Management Specialist II champions the development of new products within the consumer product category. You will work closely with customers, Engineering, and the Global Marketing and Sales Division to define requirements for new products and ensure that they are met. You should understand the needs of target end users and thoroughly as well as the strengths and weakness of all competitors in the category. TYou would have the analytical ability to consider Company business needs, customer needs, product design, and Engineering cost/time/risk considerations to make optimal recommendations and decisions.



Responsibilities

    Product Manage MOTIV mobile apps including MOTIV Audio and MOTIV Video for Android and iOS.
  • Manage the life cycle for MOTIV mobile apps including concept research, new feature development, and bug fixingSecondarily may be involved in MOTIV Desktop app development as needed
  • Collaborate and engage with Engineering in Agile ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning, CCBs, and other meetings.
  • Represents the Global Marketing and Sales Division during product development projects as the "voice of the customer" ensuring that product attributes will create a positive end user value proposition.
  • Develop software documentation in the form of Epics and User Stories. Collaborate with User Experience, System Engineer, Software Engineering, System Verification and other Global Product Manager to design and plan for feature and project execution.
  • Coordinate user testing with User Experience teams and Consumer Market Insights. Determine key objectives of tests and measure results.
  • Provides internal training regarding operation, performance, usage environments, and ordering convention on products prior to launch, serving as the product champion at trade exhibitions during launch.
  • Lead planning activities, development teams and make decisions impacting development and release strategy at the team level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • Desire to develop comprehensive knowledge of marketing, product management, or technical support for technical products and continues developing professional expertise.
  • Able to use professional concepts and apply company policies/procedures to work on problems/issues of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Able to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Audio/Music industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of audio systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent critical listening, analytic, and writing skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office software and internal IT systems
