The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota invites applications for postdoctoral research associate position from candidates with a Ph.D., degree, and with a record of outstanding training in gene therapy and regenerative medicine in neuroscience research. Areas of focus include the use of gene engineering technologies for cell reprogramming in spinal cord and traumatic brain injury, and other neurological disorders. The candidate should exhibit evidence of exceptional potential for independent research. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting research using animal models of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other animal models of neurological disorders. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of research needs as they relate to the development of cellular, gene, and viral therapeutics. The candidate should have a record of presenting research results through publications and presentations. Qualifications
