Video Telecommunication Technician

Sirius Federal, LLC is looking for a talented Video Telecommunications Technician, with an Active Top Secret security clearance to work on our Residency Services (RS) Delivery Team supporting a multiyear program supporting the Intel Community.

Your specific duties as a Video Telecommunications Technician will include:




  • Responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of worldwide Voice and Video Conferencing System.



  • Responsible for the installation of operating system and security patches.



  • Responsible for assessing the applicability of vulnerabilities and maintain security compliance of the Voice and Video Conferencing System.



  • Provide support for customer scheduled and unplanned outages, regardless of scale and impact.



  • Serve as the support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians across all communication platforms.




Specific qualifications for the Telecommunications Technician position include:




  • 15 years direct applicable experience working with Telecommunications and Video related products



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.



  • Should have a strong background with Cisco Meeting Server, VQ Conference Manager, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and/or Microsoft Skype for Business.



  • Must have managed virtualized applications or have knowledge of how to manage virtualized applications.



  • Experience in reading Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) detailed traces is a plus.



  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form



  • Motivated by challenges and has a strong sense of commitment to objectives



  • Detail-oriented and organized with an inquisitive nature that is open to learning from all sources.



  • Ability to foster strong relationships at all levels.



  • Able to work weekends.
