Job Responsibilities

The role of Inside Sales/Sales Operations Analyst is to be the initial point of contact for inbound call/email inquiries from customers while also supporting the capture, processing, updating and reporting of the Sales/ Business Development (BD) data to facilitate decision making within the business. Data includes sales opportunities, quotations, campaigns, forecasting and product/service offerings across Viasat, specifically Viasat Government Systems.

The role will work across a range of processes, tools, and functions to drive coordination and cohesion to support efficient daily sales operational activities.

The success of this role will contribute to the continued growth of Viasat by helping to develop and manage sales tools and processes and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Maintain sales tools and assist the Sales/ BD team to deliver accurate forecasts including regular reports to relevant stakeholders.

  • Assist the Sales/ BD team with the co-ordination of sales functions such as quoting, forecasting, tracking and reporting.

  • Maintain and administer sales data within tools and systems such as Salesforce, SharePoint and MRP.

  • Run weekly/ quarterly/ ad hoc repots and other functions as required.

  • Support internal processes such as Business Development Reviews, Opportunity management and forecasting.

  • Provide accurate tracking, monitoring and analysis of sales from initial request through to PO acceptance within the business.

  • Co-ordinate, distribute and monitor sales inquiries with the sales team and capture relevant data for continued learning across Viasat team.

  • Provide an informed, experienced and professional interface between Viasat functions to effectively flow information across both internal and external customers

  • Identifying continuous improvement activities and process improvements to enhance daily operational activities and knowledge sharing.

  • Champions the Viasat culture and values through own behaviors and those of the wider team

  • Create and promote an inclusive and collaborative environment within own team and across the organization

  • Participates in a feedback culture to provide positive challenges where appropriate and openly express own views and opinions.

In addition, from time to time, the role may be asked to undertake other tasks and responsibilities not covered above, in order to achieve project or business objectives.

Requirements

  • Support ~ 8 am - 5 pm Pacific Time schedule with the flexibility to support ET schedule if required

  • 3+ years working within a similar organization selling products and solutions to a range of customers and industries

  • Experience working within a sales team or coordinator role and understanding of typical sales lifecycle.

  • Ability to work across a range of stakeholders building relationships to capture data.

  • Proven ability to assimilate and communicate sales operational information relating to opportunities and campaigns.

  • Positive and dynamic approach to problem-solving and opportunity management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

  • Previous experience with Salesforce preferred

  • Interest in continuous improvement and willingness to enhance processes.

  • Excellent communication skills - both written, verbal and with the ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Effective collaboration and positive attitude

  • Effective and flexible team player

  • Ability to work independently

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task and work to deadlines.

At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. For United States-based jobs only: The pay range for this position is $64800 to $103400 annually; however, base pay may vary within this range depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
