POSITION OVERVIEW
AITC, Inc. is currently seeking applicants for an Electronic Technician Maintenance II position at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position is in support of the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES


  • Install components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, and customer facilities.
  • Perform, conduct, and document preventive maintenance checks required for the devices and associated subsystems.
  • Update maintenance data collection records and assist with the installation and check-out of modifications to equipment.
  • Maintain simulation devices to meet availability specifications.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals or simulator documents.
  • Assist with installations, testing, and maintenance of software packages.
  • Isolate and report malfunctions and discrepancies to the lowest definable levels.
  • Documents and maintain cabling schemes and drawings.
  • Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • HS Diploma (AA Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience; Minimum 2 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components desired
  • Experience with electronics and computer testing/troubleshooting
  • Will consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training technical school, certifications and/or professional experience)
  • US. Citizen
  • Able to successfully pass a background check
  • Must be able to gain access to military installation and obtain/maintain a valid driver's license for On-Post driving privileges

PREFERRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

  • AS/AAS Degree in computers, electronics or engineering. (Experience Equivalent to Degree)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments to include - Windows 7, Windows 10 and Red Hat Linux
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or Linux+ highly sought
  • Proficiency with a Digital Multi-Meter and other test equipment and software
  • Comfortable working in a team or independently
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • Requires the ability to climb up, down and beneath simulator device.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Work within confined spaces as necessary.
