Position Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator's role is to assist and support the clinical team in providing quality patient care, especially in the areas of assessing, planning, and implementation. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator acts as a leader, providing direct participant care and supervising Medical Assistants as needed. WE HIRE NEW GRADS! Reportability This position will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the designated site. This position may manage/supervise a team of medical assistants as determined by the nurse manager. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience - Registered Nurse, B.S. in Nursing preferred, and must be licensed to practice nursing in the District of Columbia or Maryland (second licensure required 6 months after hire). A minimum of one (1) year of experience in working in community health setting with immigrant populations and/or maternal-child health a plus. Bilingual in Spanish/English highly desired. Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Environment - Mostly in a typical clinical office setting with moderate noise level. May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions.
