DevOps Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

We're a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need to focus on expanding our customer operations team. As a DevOps Site Reliability Engineer, you'll be joining a people-focused company supporting the following below:
THE OPPORTUNITY
  • Writing and maintaining chef recipes/cookbooks.
  • Managing virtual machines, IaaS in our Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms
  • Maintain infrastructure using terraform and deployment pipelines.
  • Support and improve the Kubernetes platform and application deployments.
  • Administer and manage environments with an emphasis on automation.
  • Supporting AKS/EKS cluster.
  • Configuring and maintaining monitoring solution.
  • Creating, improving, and maintaining automated systems for code compilation, testing, and deployment.
  • Providing Non-Production & Production support and problem solving.
  • Setting up and maintaining mission-critical production environments.
  • Experience with networking stack.
  • Experience with java troubleshooting.
  • Writing and managing Rundeck workflow and automated jobs.
THE SKILL SET
  • 3+ years' experience with Unix/Linux and Windows based environments.
  • 3+ years' experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux based applications .NET and Java.
  • Experience with scripting (Bash, Shell, Python, Power Shell)
  • Strong Experience with Git/GitHub
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GoCD, Azure pipelines, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring (Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Experience in automation/infrastructure as code (Chef, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Database experience would be a bonus (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL)
  • Personal accountability and strong communication skills
  • Strong desire to acquire and master new skills
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP network and experience (routing, firewalls, traffic flow, vpn)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations to support an always-up, always-available service.

The national minimum salary is $115,000 a year + bonus and benefits. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
