Related positions are contingent on board approval. Under the leadership of the Director of Related Services, The Coordinator of Psychological Services, oversees and coordinates the work of assigned related services providers and manages the implementation and supervision of a compliant related services program.
Essential Functions
- Provides management and clinical supervision for related service providers.
- Serves as communication liaison between central office and school based related service staff.
- Provides emergency discipline assistance and support to related service providers and staff.
- Promotes best practices of the profession in the delivery of services through the use of evidenced based research, practices, methodologies, and principles
- Works collaboratively with agency and community partners in the provision of resources and services that support and enable students to access the educational environment
- Provides technical assistance to principals in managing related services providers and related services.
- Serves as a consultant to Human Capital in the management and review of related services caseloads and the assignments of related service providers.
- Assists Human Capital as needed, in the recruitment and pre-employment screening of related service providers.
- Supervises and directs the daily activities of the prevention plan associates.
- Conducts evaluations and reviews of the related services delivery models.
- Conducts formal and informal observations of school-based related service providers.
- Participates in planning and conducting discipline-specific and compliance in-service training.
- Takes initiative-taking measures to prevent interruptions in related service providers.
- Works collaboratively with the IMCIT and central office staff to resole interruptions issues.
- Reviews and evaluates the services provided by private providers.
- Participates in billing verification for contractual providers.
- Servces as consultant to Human Capital in the verification of credentials for third party billing service providers.
- Performs and promotes all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies; follow federal laws, state laws, school boards policies and the professional standards.

Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or institution.
- MSDE certification and/or Maryland License in the applicable related service area, i.e. school psychology.
- Five years of successful experience working as a related service provider to include two years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in conducting professional staff development activities.
- Experience in conducting clinical program evaluations.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and local special education mandates.
- Awareness of current research and trends relevant to the related service areas.
- Knowledge of organizational and operating procedures including the decision-making process, program planning, improvement strategies, and compliance.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Interpersonal skills that ensure effective team building.
- Data analysis, problem analysis and quality decision making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to provide effective training, instruction, and supervision to professional clinicians.
