Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field of study

Work Experiences:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience working in Supply Chain Retail Industry vertical
  • 3+ years of experience in a Director capacity leading, coaching, and mentoring IT Managers, Business Architects/Systems analysts, and Software development professionals
  • Demonstrated experience around developing vision, Strategy, socializing ROI, securing buy-in from business leaders and executives, and developing Business Centric roadmap enabling merchandising and store systems business functions
  • Demonstrated superior managerial skills: the ability to motivate and coach staff to enhance productivity
  • Expert knowledge and Ability to effectively manage large capital projects, including budget, development, and implementation
  • Demonstrated expertise in Portfolio and Program management skills

Skills:

  • IT Strategy, Portfolio & Program Management, Material Handling systems, Logistics systems, Supply Chain and Warehouse Management systems, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Expert knowledge in retail knowledge/retail background/understanding of retail operations required
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
  • Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytic skills with the ability to use key tools to dive deep and provide analysis consistently on performance metrics
  • Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities:

  • Establish strategic direction for systems in concert with the VP of Solutions Delivery, and with business leaders and counterparts in order to provide IT enablement and develop a strategy to the retail supply chain business
  • Develop strategic business plans for technology and internal client leaders
  • Participate in the development of strategic plans for all technology supporting supply chain
  • Ensure the direction the corporate pursues its technology and application direction is consistent with the retail industry (including utilization of standards as established by NRF) and the needs of the company
  • Participate in the development of the overall strategic direction of operations and technology necessary in the strategic planning process
  • Actively participate and contribute to IT strategy setting as a member of the IT leadership team
  • Manage vendors for on-time delivery of projects and issues
  • Manage systems implementations and upgrade projects:
    • Lead the definition, analyzes and documentation of business needs, capabilities, and features to lead technology solutions/alternatives; communicates with users on solutions, project scope, and implementation timeline; develops functional, software, and hardware requirements for new processes or process enhancement
    • Leads, communicates, and coordinates with all levels of the organization including executives and related IT functional areas to implement application changes; coordinates with vendors to implement application enhancements and manages vendor delivery
  • Provide coaching on management activities, communication, project management, presentation content, and skills necessary to any member of systems staff
  • Provide formal and informal performance reviews for managers and other team members as appropriate
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Responsibilities may change; Team Members may be required to perform other tasks as assigned
