This Staff Physical Therapist Assistant will work in the outpatient clinic in the Late Afternoon/Evening hours. You will make your own schedule and decide how many hours you want to work each week. But this position will require at least 2 shifts per week (3 hour minimum shift) between the hours of 3-8pm. This position will carry out established treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, increasing strength, and other physical therapy related goals with various populations. Patients and families: Provide patient assessment, care, and information. Address concerns and complaints. Project a positive image of the departmental and hospital Physicians: and other healthcare team members: Promote coordination of care. Address concerns and complaints Community and Business: Provide education. EDUCATION Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program. EXPERIENCE None LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION Current NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners: Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligible. OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members. WORK ENVIRONMENT Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
