Sr. Power Platform/Power BI Admin-(REMOTE)

GEICO Technology Solutionsis looking for a Sr. Power Platform Admin. As a Power Platform Admin, you will work in a highly collaborative environment and will be responsible for setting up and managing the environments; implement security and DLP policies; and provide administration, monitoring, development and user support.

Position Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Power Platform Admin, you will:

  • Provide administration support (access management, license management, environment provisioning, capacity management, etc.) for Power Platform
  • Responsible for providing full lifecycle Power BI administration (patches, updates, AD security, account management, capacity management, documenting processes) including the ability to work with data owners and report developers to support their needs in the best way possible
  • Grow and integrate Power BI services by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, report services, and dashboard support
  • Configure data gateways for access to multiple data sources across the enterprise
  • Manage Environments, Configurations, Integrations and Deployments
  • Create and maintain documentation for the environment and solutions
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, consistently high throughput and system performance, and high levels of customer service
  • Maintain Dataverse
  • Manage Data Loss Prevention policies both at the tenant and environment levels.
  • Management of Connectors
  • Support the Microsoft Power Platform governance activities
  • Install and upgrade COE Starter Kit, and maintain analytics using COE Starter Kit
  • Serve as subject matter expert providing content for user training and author self-service instructions
  • Provide daily production system support and user support

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Power Platform
  • Strong knowledge of the Power Platform Environment administration, and working with the admin portals
  • Assist solution development teams with implementing DevOps CI/CD pipeline activities such as solution packaging and promotion across different environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of Power Platform and Microsoft 365 user license management
  • Experience with establishing and maintaining Power Platform Center of
    Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit.
  • Strong knowledge of the Power Platform Environment Governance
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse, model-driven Power app, and corresponding programmability and extensibility
  • Experience in managing Dataverse, solutions management (managed/unmanaged) and implementing CI/CD automation with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Data verse/Dynamics 365 first-party apps
  • Experience with migrating Power BI Workspace, report, dashboard and large dataset storage format
  • Demonstrated solution delivery experience with focus on optimization of Power BI environments for usability, performance, flexibility, testability, standardization, and automation
  • Experience Implementing DataMart with incremental refresh
  • Experience setting up Power BI Center of Excellence
  • Experience setting up alert and monitoring pattern for Power BI Premium environments
  • Experience setting up autoscaling to manage capacities
  • Experience with tuning and implementing best practices patterns for Gateways and clusters of gateways.
  • Ability to conduct code review for measure design (DAX) and ETL process (PowerQuery)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Azure Cloud and Azure AD
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Administration
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum
  • Experience troubleshooting network, firewall, and active directory issues
  • Proficient in creating PowerShell scripts
  • 24/7 On-call support on a rotational basis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, DP-900, AZ-900.

Annual Salary

$82,000.00 - $185,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
