Workday Engineer (Hybrid)

The Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) team is looking for an Engineer to Design, Develop, Implement and Maintain solutions within Workday HCM functions including HCM Core, Time, Absence, Payroll, Recruiting, and Learning with a focus on HCM Core. The successful candidate will demonstrate their analytical and technical ability while working in an agile and collaborative team-oriented environment. The candidate must be comfortable working with all levels across Tech and Business. Must also possess intellectual curiosity, be detail oriented, and have a desire to learn new skills and technologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Workday in alignment with the organization's programs, goals, and data security framework.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements.
  • Lead product meetings and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Develop complex calculated fields to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with other workday functional areas including reporting, security, and integrations.
  • Create standard operating procedures, system documentation, share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
  • Support Workday Releases and Adoption Item implementations.
  • On-call Support as required.
  • Provide Workday Help case support for users.
  • Need to be independently productive and able to drive assigned tasks to completion by due dates while interacting with customers and stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills.
  • Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees of the organization.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and stressful situations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of Workday HCM functional area experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, mature and positive attitude.
  • Must be able to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly.
  • Experience contributing to solution design activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Workday configuration knowledge including Calculated Fields and Security.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant Workday Pro Certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and RPA tools like UI Path.

Grade will be assigned commensurate with experience and skills of selected candidate.
