We are currently recruiting on multiple Sr. Systems Engineering positions!

As a Sr. Systems Engineer at Oshkosh Defense, you will get the opportunity to evaluate and integrate the different electronic modules into the vehicle architecture to support the features enlisted for the Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV).

To accomplish this goal, you need to have a deep understanding of the automotive EE architecture and the general software layout with configurable parameters to adapt an electronic unit for a particular configuration

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Review supplier specifications and guide internal teams for integration of the electronic modules
  • Review test cases and guide the vehicle verification and validation team for proper execution of test cases
  • Ensure traceability of requirements and validation results
  • Support system level safety analysis along with the functional safety team
  • Planning and coordination of the configurations for the various electronic modules with the supplier
  • Document and generate incident reports and tickets to address incompatibility of electronic module configurations
  • Take initiatives to bring open issues to a proper closure

  • Sr. Project Engineer - Systems Engineer (Battery Management)
  • Sr. Project Engineer - Systems Engineer (Powertrain)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software or comparable
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive field
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience working on CAN network to understand vehicle communication is required
  • 25% travel expected to support the program

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, software or comparable
  • Expert knowledge of tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, PEAK PCAN, Kvaser CANKing or similar to diagnose and troubleshoot
  • Experience with larger OEM process and procedures
