Software Developer I

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Direct experience with development of functional code in C#
  • Working knowledge of software development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio 2019, Jira, and Git Repository
  • Direct experience with installation, integration and testing of software
  • Working knowledge of event driven architectures
  • Direct experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUI)
  • Junior-level, direct experience with developing and maintaining 3rd Party APIs such as Entity Framework, RestAPI, EasyNetQ and TopShelf
  • Junior-level, direct experience using Windows Presentation Foundation and Extensible Application Markup Language
  • Direct experience with developing scripts using PowerShell
  • Junior-level, direct experience administering at least two of the following operating systems: Windows 10; Windows Server 2019; Ubuntu, Linux, Debian
  • Working knowledge with the formatting and editing of Extensible Markup Language
  • Experience using messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • Practical understanding and experience with Microservice Architectures


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience performing data analytics, system modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Experience developing and maintaining fusion algorithms
  • Experience performing software development operations in and Agile, Sprint-oriented team environment
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense projects
  • Experience with biometric systems
  • Knowledge of Model-View-ViewModel GUI designs
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with Dot.Net 4+ (.Net Core is helpful)
  • Experience with C, C++, and Python languages

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides software development, installation, integration, testing, and maintenance for prototype bio-metric collection, matching, storage, and data sharing systems
  • Analyzes system architectures in order to recommend, create, develop, test and implement hardware and software enhancements, process improvements, and hardware and software emerging technologies
  • Provides remote (from Charleston, SC) technical support for deployed/fielded systems
  • The primary work location for this position is a Government facility. Travel not anticipated
