About this Position:

The Sr. Engineer I - Ohio supports the Engineering Office in Ohio with the resolution of important market quality issues. This position works with R&D engineers, market quality engineers, purchasing PIC's, parts & service PIC's to resolve high priority vehicle issues that exist in the market place. The position serves as a liaison between R&D, Market Quality (MQ) and Service Engineering (AH, CH, HDM, Etc.) for the expedient resolution of high priority market issues. Addition department administration responsibilities like, reporting, minutes, scheduling meetings, etc.

Responsibilities include:



  • Assist R&D and MQ during investigations of Priority items that leads to root cause understanding and ensure expedient, realevent and accurate countermeasures are applied with moderate support. Ensure appropriate data base is maintained with relevant and required information to support activities being done on each priority issue
  • Communicate timely market resolution information with Service Engineering organizations to support potential service/repair actions
  • Provide concise, accurate and thorough status reports for priority market issues as needed with moderate support
  • Perform other adhoc job functions on time with a high degree of accuracy w/moderate supervision. Propose improvements when necessary
  • Work effectively with Service, Factory MQ, HDMA-MQ, TSD, PWG and ADC/TAC/4MOC PIC's to ensure effective and accurate information is provided at theme up and promotion of Priority issues


Qualifications

Who we are seeking:




  • Candidates with excellent written and verbal communications



Required Work Experience:




  • Five plus years or work experience plus 1 year of experience working within an automobile manufacturer's service/engineering department
  • Vehicle evaluation skills with strong emphasis on automotive system knowledge
  • Some level of understanding of Honda Quality processes including CRF, Drawing issuance, PORS, SAR, SEM, RMVS, QIS, QIC, CMQ, Parts Procurement, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills potential
  • High proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)



Required Education:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related major or equivalent work experience
