The HR Coordinator partners closely with Team Members and the HR Leadership Team to provide excellent support and a high level of customer service. Provides day-to-day HR administrative support including benefits, answering employee questions and calls, payroll and general HR duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support HR team and serves as the first point of contact in areas including but not limited to: benefits, payroll, leave of absence, HR systems, employee phone calls and adherence to employee manual and state & federal laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date, accurate employee records and files.
  • Complete new hire processing and conduct orientation for Home Office.
  • Create and maintain badges for Home Office and temporary employees.
  • Responsible for tracking invoices and accruals. Maintains accrual spreadsheet for labor and non-labor services.
  • Create and maintain benefit and personnel files for all employees.
  • Verify I-9 documentation and execute the E-Verify process.
  • Assist employees with procurement of insurance license, track licensing process/renewals, and send renewal reminders.
  • Process and assist with new employee background checks and pre- and post-employment drug screens.
  • Administrative tasks related to the Employee Recognition program.
  • Assist and educate employees on the proper use of their benefits.
  • Assist in processing Leave of Absence program including tracking leave and FMLA compliance and preparing notification letters.
  • Proactively take initiative to research questions and interpret policies where clear-cut procedures do not exist.
  • Develop and maintain competence on department systems (e.g., HRIS System, Microsoft Office, ADI, etc.)
  • Assist in conducting audits of various payrolls, benefits, and other HR programs
  • Assist in various payroll processing duties.
  • Process all employee status changes, such as pay rate, job title, transfers, and terminations.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review notices. Distribute due and past due reports
  • Assist HR Leadership Team with various research projects and/or special projects.
  • File papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Manage employment verifications via e-mail or by phone.
  • Assist/prepare correspondences.
  • Process mail.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Flexibility to work rotating evenings (open availability between 8am and 6pm)
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • Comprehensive skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) / Google Doc and Drive
  • Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must pass pre-employment screening
  • Must work on-site (Greer, SC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • An associate's degree or higher
  • Previous experience with sensitive/confidential information
  • 1+ years of Human Resource administrative experience
  • Fluent in Spanish
