Position: Data Analyst Location: Fresno, CA

Areas of Responsibility:

Fresno Madera Farm Credit is searching for a self-motivated, highly driven individual to join our fast-paced team environment. The Data Analyst will report directly to the Managing Director- Business Information and will provide timely and accurate financial and credit reporting for the Association, reviews existing reports and dashboards and replicates them into new environments leveraging all tools available.

Essential Responsibilities:

Reporting and Analysis



  • Prepare and analyze financial information using in-house business intelligence tools
  • Verify data accuracy and identify trends
  • Build reports using combination of SAP Business Objects, SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio), Power BI, Salesforce and Azure Databricks
  • Create department-specific reports and interpret useful information from data mining queries
  • Maintain standard reports and support the effort to automate additional reports as requested by management
  • Determine requirements for new reports by consulting with requestors
  • Identify available information and determine data to be included



Special Projects and documentation of results



  • Participates on special projects by:


  • Preparing documents for data accuracy, dictionary, and version controls
  • Executing and analyzing processes, recommending improvements
  • Writing a narrative reports including project scope, activities undertaken, findings and recommendations
  • Documenting new procedures for software implementations



Backup



  • Seves as a back up to Risk Management Team on process improvements and reporting



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:




  • Expert knowledge of Excel, Visio, and Microsoft Office
  • Expert knowledge of various programs to efficiently pull information
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL programming language
  • Working knowledge of data mining tools, including, Azure Databrick, Python and Power BI
  • Skill in analyzing complex technical data by using logic and quantitative reasoning
  • Skill in utilizing time in an efficient and effective manner
  • Skill in having perception of different dimensions of business and financial issues and making sense out of complex issues while being decisive and flexible to change
  • Skill in taking complex tasks/ datasets and distilling it to clear results
  • Skill in taking complex tasks/data dictionary and validating results for accuracy
  • Skill in utilizing a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Skills in recognizing the need for action and initiating activities to address the need
  • Skill in differentiating significant and insignificant details
  • Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences



Minimum Qualifications:




  1. Two years of experience in financial analysis and reporting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential function of the job
  2. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business intelligence or related fil
