Description

Fenway Health is seeking dynamic candidates for a a Part-Time Outpatient Fee-for Service Therapist position in our Behavioral Health Department. We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience providing culturally competent behavioral health care to a diverse adult population that includes LGBTQ individuals, people of color, individuals with substance use disorder, survivors of abuse, survivors of community violence, medically complex and vulnerable individuals, young adults, older adults.

In keeping with Fenway Health's dedication to provide care for the whole person, behavioral health is a fundamental part of our integrated primary care model. We offer individual, group, couples, and family therapy; psychiatric consultation; addiction, recovery and wellness services; violence recovery counseling and advocacy. Our model of care is client-centered, collaborative and multidisciplinary.

As Fee-for Service Therapist, you will provide direct clinical services to clients that include individual therapy as well the opportunity to provide coverage of other services such as group therapy and brief interventions. There are three tiers of Fee-For-Service (FFS) Clinicians:

  • Tier 1: 5 weekly sessions
  • Tier 2: 10 weekly sessions
  • Tier 3: 15 weekly sessions

As a therapist at Fenway, you will have the rewarding opportunity to support the organization's mission by providing care to a diverse client population, including LGBTQ individuals, people of color, and people living with HIV. As part of your work, you will help clients address a range of personal issues and life events, including coming out, coping with self-esteem issues, seeking more satisfying relationships, living with HIV, addressing substance use or other addictive behaviors, coping with depression and anxiety, grieving the death of a loved one, coping with and recovering from violence, living with major mental illness. You will also acquire and hone clinical knowledge and skills in providing trans and gender-affirming care.

As a Fenway therapist, you will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team that provides high-quality, culturally competent care, and a department that supports its staff by providing supervision, in-service trainings, and professional development support such as our monthly EMDR group consultation

While this is a remote position, Massachusetts residency is required to provide client care under FQHC standards of care.

Requirements
  • LICSW, LMHC, or other comparable independent Massachusetts licensure
  • Massachusetts residency is required to provide client care under FQHC standards of care
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with colleagues, patients, clients and vendors across the spectrum of diversity, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, national origin and immigrant status, religious or spiritual identity, disability (physical, mental, emotional and developmental), veteran status, and/or limited English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous outpatient experience
  • Interest in or experience with LGBTQ issues, HIV, trauma, compulsive sexual behavior, and couples therapy
  • Previous experience or skills in working with transgender individuals
  • Experience with substance-use disorder, short-term interventions, group-therapy
  • Experience working in an ethnically, culturally, and racially diverse environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Sit at a computer station for extended periods of time
  • Ability to keyboard for extended periods of time
