Redaptive is searching for an in-house Counsel (Finance/Commercial) to join its highly collaborative legal team in support of the Company's continued growth. You will work with our Redaptive Capital team to finalize, close, and support complex finance transactions, with an emphasis on debt originations, and with Redaptive's broader commercial team on energy retro fit and technology transactions. In addition, there will be ample opportunities to work on a diverse set of legal matters, across Company functions, to position Redaptive for its next stage of significant growth. Redaptive's programs help many of the world's most sophisticated organizations reduce energy waste, save money, lower their carbon emissions, and meet their sustainability goals across their entire real estate portfolios. Committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Job Responsibilities Manage the negotiation and support of complex finance transactions, with an emphasis on debt originations. Manage the negotiation and support of real estate and alternative energy transactions. Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, including energy services, consulting, partnership, non-disclosure, financial and other agreements. Work as part of the legal team, and cross-functionally with other teams on a variety of finance and commercial matters. Work closely with members of the legal, finance and commercial teams to develop scalable processes and procedures. Miscellaneous legal projects in support oft the Company's growth. Job Requirements/Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the bar in Colorado, or the ability to become admitted within a reasonable time period. 5+ years' experience focusing on project/debt finance, real estate finance or other complex finance transactions utilizing third-party capital. Ability to independently review, revise and negotiate with opposing counsel a wide variety of commercial agreements. Knowledge of tax equity structures. Experience with IP, real estate, finance, construction and general corporate matters. Experience representing a sales team with a diverse array of deals and contract structures. Self-starter, can-do attitude combined with a strong sense of humility, collaborative working style, and ability to perform with little supervision. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Combined law firm and in-house experience is a plus.
