Position Summary

Case Aides implement treatment plans, post permanency plans, goals, and behavioral interventions prescribed for the youth. The Aide is considered to be "respite" for the family and is expected to have the youth involved in or arrange community activities and is expected to accompany the youth on community activities. This may also include taking youth to appointments, meetings, social events, and visits.

The aide may also work in the house with family as means of support to the treatment family or adopted parent. He/ She must be flexible in meeting the needs of the family and youth and adapting their schedule accordingly.

Essential Responsibilities



  1. Maintain visual and auditory contact with youth.
  2. Identify safety hazards to youth and take necessary steps to eliminate or minimize injury.
  3. Implement treatment plan/post-permanency plans.
  4. Supervise and/or arrange for youth groups and plan for recreational activities, individually or in groups, of youth and/or children of birth parents during meetings of Birth Parent Group.
  5. Provide safe transportation as needed.
  6. Relieve TFC Parents as the schedule requires and support as needed.
  7. Maintain written records as required;
  8. Gather program data and assist in preparation of data and/or summarizing information.


Qualifications



  • Clearances: State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance


Working Conditions



  • Physical Demands. Requires vision, speech, and hearing and a moderate to high level of physical activity including; sitting, standing, walking lifting and carrying as required. Must be able to meet the demands and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
  • Environmental Factors. Indoors/Outdoors: school, home, community
  • Working Hours. variable schedule based on program need
