This position is full-time Monday-Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This role is onsite and our office is located at THE VILLAGES -- 1049 LAKE SUMT, FL.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Handle both Inbound calls and walk in inquiries regarding member benefits and claims
• Contact care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or member education
• Assist customers in navigating UnitedHealth Group websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient in using our tools
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert or mentor to other team members

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
• 1+ years Customer Service experience
• 1+ years working knowledge of electronic medical records software applications
• Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
• Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)

Soft Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to listen skillfully, collect relevant information, build rapport, and respond to customers in a compassionate manner
