General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Operations Specialist is a support role that assists the Facility Manager in managing the business and operations processes of the branch. Responsible for assisting in all areas of operations including, shipping, custom application, inventory accuracy, and safety.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:



  • Proficient with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows, Windows applications and ERP order entry systems

    • JD Edwards practice and process training will be provided


  • Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Willing and desires to work overtime hours during busy seasons
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift and pallet jacks
  • Prefer possession of a valid Class A CDL driver's license with a good driving record
  • Agriculture Pesticide Certifications as required by the state

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:



  • Assist Facility Manager in the operation of all procedures and processes to provide accurate information, tracking of sales, and inventory.
  • Become well-rounded in all aspects of the branch to ensure profitability
  • Provide support to team members to attain location customer service objectives
  • Help create efficiencies within the operations team, to provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Learn and maintain software programs used in daily operations.
  • Assist in inventory control, and inventory process. Weekly and Monthly Inventory.
  • Assist with seed and seed treatment.
  • Promote safety throughout the branch

    • Assist with safety initiatives in keeping the location compliant


  • Maintain professional image to our customers through personal appearance and overall branch cleanliness
  • All other duties as assigned


Compensation



  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $47,300 - $63,030. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
