The Director, Revenue Strategy & Analytics will lead high value initiatives to grow revenue most profitably across the entire marketing funnel. Supported by a marketing data analytics team, you will be accountable for building and leveraging a deep understanding of AP data and metrics to analyze performance across the funnel, optimize AP's marketing investments and capital allocation, and identify new opportunities for driving revenue growth. Part of AP's Business Operations & Transformation team, the Director will partner with leaders across the organization to develop common and consistent understanding of company performance and to develop recommendations for improved revenue performance. You will be the face of AP performance data and analysis to teams across the organization. This is a highly analytical, cross-functional opportunity and will require you to leverage complex data to share insights, develop recommendations, and affect change

Responsibilities Include:


  • Build and lead a marketing analytics team that provides value-add strategic insights and analytical decision support to a wider marketing organization
  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor and understand the entire funnel; proactively identify opportunities to shift investment and increase conversion; make recommendations for capital allocation with the highest ROI, being partner/channel agnostic
  • Identify, develop, monitor, and provide analysis of performance KPI's and metrics; communicate detailed performance updates to executive leadership
  • Create simulations and models that identify revenue growth opportunities along the entire funnel
  • Lead development of the operational budget, partnering with marketing and operations teams to set targets for leads, applications, enrollments, and revenue
  • Partner with Data Analytics, Finance, and Business Technology teams to drive consistency in data reporting and analysis, ensure data validity across multiple systems
  • Identify areas where efficiency improvements and process optimizations can result in increased revenue scale, more efficient acquisition, and more satisfied customers
  • Approach daily problems solving with a solution consultant mindset: know the numbers, why the numbers are important, and recommend how to improve them; work cross-functionally to execute recommendations


Requirements Include:


  • A four-year college degree in Business Administration, Operations Research, or Data Science, or equivalent training and experience required
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, System Dynamics, or related field(s) preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including corporate, team, and program leadership.
  • Must have experience in a professional services organization (consulting, private equity, investment banking) and/or cross-functional leadership role (corporate finance/decision support, corporate strategy, business operations, or corporate transformation)
  • Previous Operational Consulting experience at firms like Booz, Accenture, A.T. Kearney, Deloitte, McKinsey, Bain, etc. or boutique firms preferred
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and data mining tools (for example SQL, Python, R) and techniques with experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to deliver synthesized reports and data-driven insights
  • Fluency in data (strong in Excel) and communication (e.g. high-quality slides)
  • Must work well in a matrix environment across multiple groups and levels
  • A self-starter, analytical, and results-oriented; able to prioritize across multiple projects
  • Demonstrated success in data analysis, managing multi-discipline partners, driving complex projects from conception to implementation
  • Strong writing and verbal skills; facile at simplifying complex analysis for senior audiences
  • Comfortable with multitasking and ensuring the macro-and-micro details of all decisions; able to context shift between domains, such as finance, sales, product development/delivery, change management, and team leadership
  • Self-motivated and tenacious in the pursuit of continued process innovations that will transform AP's operations
  • Self-sufficiency with data extraction from various sources to support team management preferred
