SIS Systems Administrator I

Job Description

The SIS Systems Engineer I maintains solutions that support the infrastructure for the SIS and related systems. This includes the infrastructure to support an applications interface with the SIS. SIS Systems Engineer I is also responsible for collecting any empirical data that relates to the performance of the SIS and underlying OS.

Job Responsibilities

• Subject Matter Expert of Departmental Processes
• Maintain communication with collaborators in regard to assignments
• Writing production ready scripts and procedures
• Maintain SSL certificates purchased by Infinite Campus
• Design, test, implement, document and maintain changes/additions to Infinite Campus services
• Administration of User Access to Infinite Campus Systems
• Understanding of Centralized Services (SSH, Relational/Document Databases, Webservers)
• Collaboration with other Managed Services Teams to resolve customer issues
• Access Infinite Campus product customer data and customer infrastructure adhering to the practices and procedures outlined in the security guidelines.
• Occasional On Call
• Other related duties as assigned.

Desired Background

• Experience working with Linux and Windows Server OS
• Experience administering web services (NGINX, Apache HTTP, Apache Tomcat)
• Networking experience including analysis and troubleshooting (HTTP(S),TCP-IP, DNS, FTP)
• Experience with virtualization and containerization platforms
• Campus SIS application knowledge preferred
• Associate Degree or Relevant Experience
• Java troubleshooting experience preferred
• System design experience
