The site is located on Bushy Park Road in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Job Overview:

Responsible for a variety of Human Resource tasks such as onboarding, leaves of absence, employee relations, etc. Works with Human Resources at parent company to maintain integrity of employee data, confidentiality, ethical behavior standards, established systems and processes, and seeks guidance when necessary. Provides administrative support to location management.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintains open lines of communication with Human Resources department at parent company.
  • Participates in the onboarding of new hires to ensure appropriate information is collected and disseminated such as I-9s, company information, benefits, etc.
  • Provides guidance and appropriate paperwork when applicable to employees regarding company policies, benefits, leaves of absence (Family Medical Leave, Non-FMLA Medical, Americans with Disabilities, and Parental Leave), etc.
  • Handles employee information with discretion to ensure confidentiality.
  • Ensures employee pay increases are requested in a timely manner, with the appropriate supporting documentation and signatures included prior to submission to parent company.
  • Coordinates job requisitions with HR department at parent company.
  • Helps maintain accurate personnel data in human capital management (HCM) system.
  • Completes requests for new hires and routes to parent company to begin the offer process.
  • Manages active and terminated employee I-9 forms per federal regulations, including the removal and destruction of forms outside the retention period.
  • Works with head of safety regarding administrative responsibilities for work-related injuries and workers compensation.
  • Actively participates in the employee engagement team and helps organize company events.
  • Receives appropriate notice when an employee will be departing the company and advises parent company HR department.
  • Supports location management with administrative tasks including but not limited to creating presentations, scheduling meetings, etc.

  • Strong HR management, employee handling, and administrative skills
  • Current HR legal knowledge, especially Family Medical Leave (FMLA)
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization with professionalism

Minimum Education:

Associates degree

Minimum Experience:

5 years of relevant experience in human resources

Certifications & Licenses:

PHR and/or SHRM-CP

Physical Requirements:

Possess close visual acuity and visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle. Sedentary work with the ability to frequently talk, hear, finger, grasp, reach, stand, walk, and repetitive motion and occasionally climb, stoop, crawl, push, and grasp.

Working Conditions:

On-Site; Office setting without being substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift; opportunity for a flexible schedule of four 8s or four 10s

Pay: $50,000 to $55,000 plus bonus
