Risk Advisor - Personal Lines

Primary Purpose:

Towne Insurance is an established independent agency looking for a sales-oriented individual with advanced communication skills and knowledge of personal lines products and coverages.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Develop lead sources with other Towne Bank personnel in the various departments of the bank, mortgage, real estate, insurance, and other financial service departments
  • Find and cultivate new business relationships with external prospects through networking, cold calling, and other means of prospecting as necessary
  • Promote the Towne Bank and Towne Insurance vision and guiding principles within the community.
  • Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect each customer's individual needs
  • Perform fact-finding to confirm, update, and define coverage needs
  • Coordinate with carrier(s) of choice to sell our personal lines products
  • Retain full knowledge of insurance products and usages
  • Review all bound+ policies and documentation for accuracy
  • Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities
  • Achieve objectives established in annual producer sales plan
  • Attend Towne Insurance training and meetings as required
  • Promote the Towne Bank and Towne Insurance vision and guiding principles within the community.
  • Perform other specific job duties and projects as assigned.
  • Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)



Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:



  • Current VA Property and Casualty License
  • Minimum of two years agency experience
  • People-oriented


  • Organizational skills

  • Proactive in problem solving
  • Pride in getting work done accurately and timely
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task



Desired Skills and Competencies:



  • Strong community relationships and areas of interest to complement insurance competency
  • Experience with EPIC system
