The Lefkowitz lab is currently seeking an innovative, inventive, and determined Postdoctoral Associate. The Lefkowitz lab has a longstanding interest on the elucidation of the molecular properties and regulatory mechanisms controlling the function of G protein-coupled receptors. As model systems we utilize the so-called adrenergic receptors for adrenaline and related molecules. The goal is to learn the general principles of signal transduction from the outside to the inside of the cell which are involved in systems as diverse as sensory perception, neuro- transmitter and hormonal signaling. Studies are performed with isolated protein, whole cells in culture and even in vivo in whole animals. Successful candidates need to have a strong knowledge of structural biology. Candidate must be able to work independently, as well as, in a collaborative group environment. Candidate should have effective communication skills, is self-motivated and has a strong work ethic. Compensation Range $70,000.00 (minimum) - $80,500.00 (midpoint) - $91,000.00 (maximum)Pay Type: AnnualHHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range. |
