Malcolm International is seeking a Field Engineer for our 22nd Street Bridge project located in Tucson, AZ. The project is for the City of Tucson which includes construction of a twin 5 span viaduct with a main span of 376 feet, founded on 10-foot diameter drilled shafts, a pedestrian bridge, MSE & cast-in-place retaining walls, new roadway construction, underground utilities, traffic control, surface concrete and paving.

The successful candidate will learn and contribute to the work daily. Tasks will include thorough safety trainings, quality control systems, operation planning and scheduling, subcontractor management, and stakeholder engagement. This project will be an excellent opportunity to learn cast in place segmental bridge construction and structural concrete work by working day to day with a solid team.

Minimum Requirements


  • 0-4 years of heavy civil construction field engineering experience
  • Experience with bridge construction, underground utilities, drilled shafts, and equipment utilization is preferred.
  • Drive and passion to learn about bridge construction both heavy civil and structural concrete.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction related field from an accredited institution.
  • Project controls techniques (i.e. cost accounting, basic estimating, forecasting, contracts).


Specific exposure to structural construction industry technologies, means and methods will be highly regarded.
