The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly general and subledger journal entries, reviewing financial statements, account reconciliations and audits. The Staff Accountant also serves as a point of contact for operations teams for accounting related questions/issues, prepares contractually required third party reporting.
Main Responsibilities



  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
  • Create and maintain fixed asset records and subledger
  • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Perform monthly detailed account analysis and explanations for variance versus budget and trend
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and cash settlement entries
  • Assist with annual external audit and in preparing assigned schedules.
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Create customer invoices and process payments in accounts receivable subledger
  • Prepare and file sales & use tax returns
  • Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Support accounts payable activities to ensure accuracy in coding and accuracy of accruals
  • Perform monthly bank settlements
  • Special projects, ad hoc reporting as needed



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Excel and word
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detailed, strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
