HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for Demand Planning material, components, equipment, or services while optimizing the use of company assets in compliance with company policies, applicable federal laws or regulations governing purchase of goods or interstate commerce. Knowledgeable in assigned commodities and associated supplier base. Upholds the highest level of ethics, integrity, and professionalism while representing Ferrotec and in all purchasing practices. Maintains relations with Key Stakeholders on a professional and objective basis.

Achievement of objectives must include an overriding commitment to quality that must permeate the areas of responsibility. Enable and Drive Change in the Organization.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE


  • Responsible for directing overall supply chain operations and materials management, including, Demand Planning, Production scheduling, and on time delivery to our customers.
  • Drives Supply Chain improvements and supplier development activities such as:
  • Execute lean supply chain initiatives.
  • Monitor key governance metrics such as open Production Order execution, Rescheduling performance.
  • Provides materials management interface to our customer's Supply Chain Manager (SCM) and Supply Business Manager (SBM) to engage in supplier development initiatives that ensure Ferrotec maintains the position as the most trusted partner and first choice for awarding of Contract Manufacturing business.
  • Experienced in managing sales and operation production planning process.
  • Direct and manage all cGMP supply chain and materials management functions.
  • Develops and implements processes and procedures.
  • Develops key performance indicators (KPIs) and manages to them.
  • Ensures locations have the components, equipment, and supplies needed to meet production goals and manage those in a controlled environment.
  • Provide leadership that includes performance management, mentorship, hiring, development, and training for retention.
  • Manages inventory levels, and responsible for physical inventory counts, data, and system reconciliation.
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function.
  • Develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
  • Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and production scheduling.
  • Develops master schedule and co-ordinates effective material flow through purchasing, planning, inventory control within the MRPII operating business software.
  • Interfaces with other departments regarding delivery status, specifications, pricing, quantity, or quality issues.
  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.

  • Reporting to Director of Strategic Planning

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or Production and Operations Management, preferred or equivalent demonstrated work experience of 5 years' plus in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of Just In Time, Time Based Manufacturing, and Theory of Constraints principles.
  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on MS Suites, experience with Oracle software is a Plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, combined with good oral and written communication skills, and excellent organization, planning, and follow up skills will lead to success at this position.
  • Personnel Management experience.
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society certification as a Certified Production and Inventory Management professional, is a Plus.
