Senior Engineer - IT Service Management

GEICO Tech is seeking a highly qualified individual to support our current enterprise service management platform. The selected individual should have in-depth experience with the BMC Remedy/Helix Platform. This is a hands-on role and will require in depth understanding of enterprise service management and expert technical knowledge. Selected individual will be responsible for designing and developing solutions to complex problems and perform overall system management and integration functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders to understand our users' visions and how the service management platform can add value.
  • Provide technical support for planning, designing, developing, upgrading, installing, testing, implementing, and maintaining the service management platform
  • Evaluate service management platform performance, provide technical support for the service management platform by debugging platform problems, and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Perform advanced technical development work for integration with the service management platform
  • Provide customization and configuration of, but not limited to, workflow administration, custom scripting, third party integrations, report setup and development, etc.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and industry best practices
  • Define and estimate sprints for Agile projects
  • Develop and conduct training and knowledge transfer to junior engineers

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must have between 2-4 years of enterprise service management platforms. Specifically BMC Remedy/Helix.
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience with Service Management Platform Architecture, scaling, On-prem, PaaS/SaaS management and development/workflow automation.
  • Must have an understanding of service management software including CMDB, ITOM, ITSM, Portfolio, Logical and Physical Service Data Modeling, Service Map, Service Metadata collection/upkeep, and Configuration Item (CI) Governance.
  • Must have knowledge of APIs and how they work
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or with in a diverse team
  • Must be able a self-starter and operate with limited guidance and oversight.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD

Annual Salary

$82,000.00 - $185,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
