People Analytics Analyst

Summary:

GEICO is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our People Group as a People Analytics Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for working with customer's within and outside of GEICO's People Group to gather, analyze and report on data relating to our workforce to produce in-sight driven business recommendations. You will also have responsibilities in ensuring our HCM databases are structured for long term scalability and automation, while also maintaining and continuously enhancing GEICO's people data governance framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with customers of all management levels up through executive leadership to help our customers understand our data and define their reporting requirements
  • Developing Workday reports and dashboards primarily within but not limited to the HCM, Recruiting, Learning and Talent modules
  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various databases to perform data analysis and create data visualizations that provide insights and recommendations on a wide spectrum of workforce metrics such as retention and high-volume talent acquisition candidate flows
  • Working directly with various GEICO legal groups and People Group Executive Leadership to provide reporting expertise on confidential data requests and initiatives
  • Helping to identify key reporting needs companywide and develop the self-service reporting tools and dashboards in Workday and data visualization tools to address them
  • Collaborating with various stakeholder including People Group Executive Leadership, Finance and HRIS to ensure data accuracy and adherence to data governance strategies
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements for data collection, analysis and reporting to enhance the impact of GEICO's People Analytics teams
  • Serving as a Workday Reporting and Security subject matter expert on various projects and initiatives across all People Group functional areas
  • Working with the People Analytics leadership group and HRIS as we transition our Workday Security model to a role-based access control system
  • Automating data flows on People Analytics owned dashboards via Workday APIs and other integrations
  • Serving as core team member from the People Analytics team in the buildout of GEICO's associate data warehouse to include helping define data governance and security within the system

Requirements:

  • 1-3 plus years' experience working in an HRIS, people analytics, or a similar HR data analyst role
  • Experience working with HR systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analytics including data analysis, reporting, and visualization
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successfully influencing and collaborating in an inclusive way across management levels, regional teams, and cultures
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and assignments simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday reporting and security experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Senior Leadership
  • Experience writing or working with technical requirements documents preferred
