Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team supporting the United States Transportation Command Transportation Financial Management System contract.

The Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) is the Army Service Component Command of the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The Transportation Financial Management System (TFMS) is the Oracle Financials-based enterprise financial management system solution in use by SDDC as its overall financial and reporting system. The Savantage support team provides technical and functional expertise to the TFMS Program Manager and users to ensure timely monthly and yearly closures of financial activities within TFMS, transition of functional configuration issues to the appropriate staff, and provide development and maintenance of TFMS Interfaces, SDDC Reporting requirements and System Change Requests (SCRs) Support, audit readiness support, Cybersecurity support, and Operational Environment sustainment.

This position is 100% remote.



Duties & Responsibilities

    Support a “lift and shift" cloud migration effort.
  • Support development and maintenance of documented migration strategies
  • Develop detailed application analysis, including all production, non-production infrastructure and application dependencies.
  • Provide functional support for documenting and analyzing architecture components, attributes and dependency maps, relationships by application, data sensitivity, zero trust requirements, legal or other regulatory issues, disaster recovery, currently deployed remote access, or internal security considerations.
  • Develop documented system and application interdependencies that result in stakeholders' understanding of the benefits and risks of migration strategies and alternatives.
  • Support development of the Migration Plan
  • Support post-migration activities, such as functional, performance, security, failover, and other testing.
  • Create an "End-State" architecture to fit the application and perform a detailed design of the end-state, cloud-based application, and integration architecture, incorporating Government-wide and Government-specific security controls into the target design and migration plan.
  • Develop and maintain an application migration schedule that defines the timeline, tasks, dependencies, and resources.
  • Perform gap analysis to capture discrepancies between current and end-state environment.
  • Lead and conduct project-planning workshops with the stakeholders to review the design and to validate the systems' migration processes.
  • Support the ongoing implementation of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline that supports the program.
  • Supports DevSecOps efforts to ensure delivery of a demand model leveraging continuous everything to reduce defects while increasing productivity and time-to-market.
  • Assists with the establishment of CI/CD pipeline guidelines, standards, and strategies.
  • Communicates with development teams to ensure adherence to CI/CD guidelines and standard DevSecOps processes.
  • Supports the technical planning, configuration, integration, verification, and validation of the pipeline toolchain in support of the technical complexities that lead to the successful integration of various DevSecOps practices as part of a CI/CD implementation.
  • Implements automated methods that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including scripting, integration, and problem resolution related to the CI/CD pipeline toolchain


Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and technologies such as:
    • GitLab
    • Jenkins
    • AWS Cloud Watch
    • Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA)
  • Familiar with Cloud Native Development Best Practices
  • IAT Level II certification such as Security+
  • CE certification such as AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
