IT Operations and Maintenance Professional

Key Role:
Support development and O&M of Web-based software applications using Agile software development methodologies in a Cloud-based environment. Work closely with systems engineers, developers, testers, information security engineers, user experience and interface engineers, and database developers in supporting the software development cycle from requirements gathering, architecture, and design development through testing and deployment. Work with the development team to ensure the design is understood and implemented as intended. Formulate and define systems scope and objective based on both the user's needs and a thorough comprehension of business systems and industry requirements. Analyze procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capability and limitations, operating time, and form of preferred results, including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Leverage full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Assume responsibility of instructing, directing, and checking the work of business systems analysis personnel. Act as a team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with supporting Agile software development, including new development and O&M for applications

  • Experience with serving as a project and systems integrator in an application development environment

  • Experience with program management practices and processes, including procurement, change requests, and access requests

  • Experience with developing integrated master schedules

  • Experience with supporting program governance boards with agendas, briefings, scheduling, documenting meeting minutes, and following up on actions

  • Experience with reviewing and applying industry standards in an application development

  • Experience with creating and delivering presentations

  • Experience with presenting options and recommendations to program leadership and incorporating feedback into the development cycle

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with providing cost and schedule estimates for architectures and designs

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
