Job Summary

This position is responsible to provide effective customer service and achieve customer satisfaction by delivering services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner for our National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) West Base Operations Support Contract.

Primary Duties

  • Develop CAD drawings in support of work orders, customer requests, and miscellaneous projects.

  • Provide printing and reproductions of CAD drawings.

  • Provide as-built drawing maintenance and CAD services to maintain the accuracy and quality of the Agency's facility record drawings.

  • Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), BIM modeling (REVIT), or by hand using compasses, dividers, protractors, triangles and other drafting devices.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles from existing conditions to verify the accuracy of as-built drawings.

  • Follow specific drafting standards and correct drawings to conform to those standards.

  • Produce and duplicate drawings according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction using plotters, printers, scanners, or other duplicating methods.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure that they conform to drafting standards.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Associates Degree in computer aided design from an accredited institution is required.

  • High school diploma or state certified equivalent is required.

  • 2-3 years of direct experience required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Requires personal computer (PC) knowledge leading to proficiency in various software and/or spreadsheet operations.

  • Must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel and Access).

Supervision Received

The incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently stand, walk and sit. The employee may occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
