CONTRACT QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Job Purpose:

Contract Quality Assurance Manager will plan, organize, direct and participate in activities of workers engaged in landscaping, grounds maintenance and custodial activities with the end goal being properly functioning, aesthetic properties according to contract specifications.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:

* Coordinate with supervisors a schedule for crews based on work priorities, crew and equipment availability and weather conditions.

* Determine when and where vegetation should be added or eliminated using contract guidelines.

* Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met, and schedules are maintained.

* When inspecting a site, Inventory supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure that a sufficient amount is available, and items are in usable condition.

* Direct or perform mixing and application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.

* Review contracts or work assignments to determine service, machine, and workforce requirements for jobs.

* Order the performance of corrective work when problems occur and recommend procedural changes to avoid such problems.

* Responsible for reading, studying, referring to contract for information.

* Install and maintain landscaped areas, performing tasks such as removing snow, pouring cement curbs, and repairing sidewalks.

* Recommend changes in working conditions or equipment use, in order to increase crew efficiency.

Qualifications:

* 10+ years' experience managing crew(s) preferably in landscaping, building maintenance or related industry.

* Excellent communication skills with ability to speak English and Spanish (encouraged but not mandatory).

* Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

* Strong leadership skills with ability to direct and instruct others.

* Comfortable sending, receiving and replying to emails and text messages with smart phone.

* Ability to make and maintain service schedules.

* Shares in company values and can demonstrate those in the field.

* Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

* Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.

* Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

* Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.

* Determining the goal for each job and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
