As the Private Banking Officer, you may look forward to:
- Bringing new private banking relationships to the bank to meet stated deposit income and ancillary product sales objectives.
- Servicing existing portfolio in a proactive manner (identify opportunities).
- Working closely with the entire sales team to insure professional service levels, share & leverage individual talents and create an environment (reputation) that the marketplace views as superior.
- Properly maintaining all relationship files.
- Leveraging other lenders, their teams, and outside resources to anticipate and respond to all the member's needs.
- Supervising and giving direction to staff (if applicable).
- Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
You are a person that (required skills):
- Has a high sense of urgency and strong decision making abilities.
- Has previous banking experience.
- Has extensive knowledge of loan documentation and regulations.
- Has proven business development and sales skills.
- Has excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally.
- Has a broad knowledge of all bank products and bank affiliates with a strong ability to promote and cross-sell.
- Is goal oriented and self motivated.
- Has strong connections to and relationships with referral sources/center of influence in the market.
You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills):
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A background in Private Banking, Trust or related field.
- Retail lending experience.
- Local market experience.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Physically you can anticipate to:
- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
- Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
- Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
