DevSecOps Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll contribute to modernization efforts to incorporate monitoring, automation, and container orchestration tools to increase scalability and availability of a large, complex lab-based development environment. Leverage DevSecOps expertise to incorporate modern software development approaches and tools to achieve higher team velocity through the prototyping, development, testing, and release lifecycles.Ensure an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) mindset first and incorporate continuous monitoring to ensure a secure development environment is maintained.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in an infrastructure, DevSecOps, or application development role

  • Experience with Linux engineering and administration

  • Experience with automation tools, including SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet

  • Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with using Python for automation

  • Experience with modern infrastructure, including vSphere, networking security, or storage

  • Knowledge of containers and security technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Twistlock, Falco, or Clair

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with database and monitoring tools, including MySQL, MongoDB, EFK, or Prometheus

  • Experience with installing, configuring, and managing Atlassian suite of development tools

  • Ability to develop custom Kubernetes Operators

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
