Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Pryciak Lab seeks a highly motivated research associate to study the recognition of short peptide motifs by globular protein domains. The project aims to reveal the molecular specificities of these peptide motif binding interactions and how they can be tuned to control the magnitude and timing of molecular reactions in the cell, including substrate identification by post-translational modification enzymes. See PubMed ID 32976810 and the Pryciak Lab website for further information: https://www.umassmed.edu/pryciaklab/ Familiarity with molecular biology methods (DNA preparation, plasmid sub-cloning, PCR) and/or microbiological culture of E. coli or S. cerevisiae are advantageous but not required. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate I provides operational support to the laboratory. The Research Associate I will perform research experiments as defined by the PI. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
