The PM Director acts as the key contact for the assigned Managing Director(s) / Partner Relations, collaborating to deliver overall partner New Enrollment and Ending Enrollment growth. They provide leadership and development of a team focused on delivering growth. The PM Director is accountable for problem identification and issue resolution for any issues negatively impacting student success, while ensuring quality of creative briefs and marketing assets, enabling creation of websites, landing pages, and collateral in support of seamless marketing launches. Leads cross-functional performance marketing meetings and ensures all activities are completed. In addition, the PM Director provides input to strategic account plans and partner reviews. Relationship-building, presentation and big-picture thinking skills and comfort with ambiguity are key for success. The ideal candidate will have experience in Higher Education with analytics, program marketing, strategic marketing, student recruitment, and management experience.
Responsibilities Include:


  • Establish and manage annual marketing budgets.
  • Develop and execute data-influenced marketing strategies coupled with measurement plans to track success for each partner.
  • Understand target audience insights to drive creative and messaging that highlights the unique value proposition, benefits, and aligns with the partner brands
  • Leverage internal data analytics and reporting tools: Measure and assess campaign performance to make recommendations for improvements
  • Build and deliver effective presentations to communicate marketing strategies, insights, and results to key stakeholders including executive team, partner institutions, and internal partners.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships to drive results and negotiate contracts
  • Key contact for assigned Managing Director(s) / VP(s) of Partner Relations
  • Delivers overall partner NE/EE performance for assigned partners
  • Monitors key partner/program health
  • Problem identification analysis
  • Leadership and development of the area performance marketing team members
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to identify and resolve issues negatively impacting student enrollment and persistence
  • Develops input to account plans, internal partner reviews and semi-annual reviews
  • Ensures quality of creative briefs and marketing assets, including productive discovery and kick-off meetings
  • Manages and monitors team activities to meet deadlines and objectives including marketing launches
  • Leads working weekly performance marketing meetings with Managing Directors and Partner Support
  • Partner Meeting participation, as needed, to support MD and strategic plans


Key Deliverables:
1. Student Growth and Success


  1. Delivery of overall partner New Enrollment/Ending Enrollment to meet or exceed budget for assigned partners
  2. Accountable for knowledge capture of operational and process issues that impede optimal program performance
  3. Management of the timely development and execution of solutions for improvement with corresponding action-outcome documentation


2. Marketing launches


  1. Participates in and manages program discovery, creative brief development, internal review of assets, and attainment of partner approval related to program launches and marketing assets. Assets include web pages, landing pages, article content, student profiles, faculty profiles, field assets, e-mail and social media. Scope includes individual programs as well as additional vertical and new partner launches.
  2. Lifecycle management of program content post launch includes copy audits, refreshes and campaigns to reflect market trends and program evolution


3. Partner Marketing Strategy


  1. Lead team to develop marketing strategy, in conjunction with lead generations teams, in support of the University account plan
  2. Work with Strategy team and Product Marketing team to customize semi-annual reviews, marketing plans and strategic initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional team to align on partner strategies and resources needed.


4. Team Development and Mentorship


  1. Coach and develop team members to strengthen bench, develop expertise, and achieve goals
  2. Mentor cross-functional team members, sharing expertise and knowledge related to program management and voice-of-the-student

Requirements Include:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required; Master's degree (MBA) strongly preferred
  • 10 years of marketing experience required
  • 5-8+ years of proven management success in marketing, product and/or portfolio management
  • Higher education marketing experience with online higher education subject matter expertise preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities (advanced level business acumen)
  • Experience driving results through teams in highly matrixed organizations
  • Leader-level marketing communications and marketing planning skills
  • Excellent presentation skills across organizations and levels
  • Experienced people-leader
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing (paid search, social media, SEO)
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent MS Office with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills; Tableau skills a plus
