The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks an Applications Specialist to provide consistent, high-quality support, service documentation, and reporting to a wide variety of both internal and externa stakeholders for multiple software applications, primarily the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). This position collaborates with others to provide ongoing technical assistance and support through data collection, synthesis, and reporting. Monitors programs to ensure timely completion of data entry, data integrity, mandated reports, and collection of outcomes data. Provide tier-1 support and data integrity review for multiple enterprise applications. This position is located at 2130 Stout St., Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Vice President of Information Systems. Coalition Benefits

The effective date for your benefits will be the first of the month following your date of hire. Essential Job Functions
- Manages and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. Serve as liaison between EHR and HMIS technical teams, outcomes team, and program management.
- Meets with program staff on a regular basis to develop objectives, discuss findings, address data trends, review reports, and identify areas of focus.
- Collects, organizes, and interprets statistical information with computerized systems and complex calculation applications to make assumptions, develops trends analysis and draws conclusions, and educates leadership on how to use the information.
- Works collaboratively with leadership to design and build the reports necessary to answer questions and achieve strategic goals.
- Exhibits initiative to identify needed enhancements to current process flows and help to implement change, working independently and using sound judgment, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Participates in ongoing decisions concerning data collection methods and data analysis; identifies, develops and proposes alternative data metrics.
- Identifies and quickly resolves or if needed, escalates issues, provide resolutions, and communicates timely status updates.
- Conducts needs assessments with user groups, determines skill level for end users, and proactively develops targeted training based on identifying opportunities for training.
- Uses system data to communicate progress toward quality metrics and provides regular updates on quality reporting requirements including monitoring data quality.
- Compiles data from multiple sources to support monitoring of social, housing and health outcomes, including conducting regular data validation activities to ensure data quality.
- Maintains tracking system of data required for programs, grants, and other outcomes as well as grant reporting deadlines to support staff and ensure that grant-funded requirements are met.
- Prepares regular reports to funders regarding progress towards outcomes.
- Responsible for the support of data collection, data entry, and quality assurance of the data in the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) for internal and external stakeholders who use the HMIS database to collect information.

- Associate's degree in a related field; experience may be substituted for education.
- Demonstrated experience with data management and report creation.
- Experience with HMIS preferred.
