The Data Insights Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and loading data sets in various formats into SQL, while ensuring accuracy of data and performing alignments/cross-walking processes as needed. The Data Insights Analyst will process data into templated presentations and create corresponding data stories to explain results and mirror production expectations. The Data Insights Analyst will work closely with Sales, Account Management, and supporting teams to assist with new upsell and sales opportunities. This role offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to exciting projects that involve travel. Travel requirements to (primarily) domestic destinations should not exceed 40%. Key Responsibilities:
Become knowledgeable about all Zelis product offerings supported within the role. Work independently to upload, map and align data sets to company processes. Prioritize multiple projects and collaborate with team members and business/technical partners as needed for support and business needs. Understand and interpret business needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders to produce data-driven solutions that correlate to Production outputs. Continuously identify opportunities to create/develop reporting, visualization tools, and processes to drive efficiency, accurate results, and compelling data stories. Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with teammates and other Zelis teams to facilitate workflows and requests. Work with urgency to complete projects within or prior to SLAs/TATs Present results of data analytics to internal and to client partners. Answer queries related to data. Engagement with client data peers in the data retrieval and evaluation process. Other responsibilities as identified by direct report.
Professional Experience:
Strong understanding of revenue cycle management and lifecycle of claims, including medical claim terminology, modifiers, diagnosis codes and CPTs, preferably both in facility and professional settings. Experience utilizing SQL servers for data loading and analytics. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team settings. Effective and professional communication (both verbal and written). Proven ability to create and/or improve process efficiency and outputs. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities. Exhibited capacity for critical and strategic thinking. Proficient in use of Excel, including advanced excel formulas, pivot table use and data aggregation (required). Proficient in use of Word, including creating formatted templates. Experience in utilizing ticketing systems for tracking purposes; Jira, preferred. Experience utilizing and developing PowerBi for purposes of visualization and client data analysis.
Education
BS in Healthcare Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative experience (3+ years in a similar role) CPC or RHIA credential required.
Work Environment:
Travel requirements to (primarily) domestic destinations should not exceed 40%. A standard work week exists but with the understanding that additional time/effort outside of the usual parameters can/will occur based upon the overall needs of the integration, where deadlines exist and when necessary due to the needs of the integration team.
