Requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Statistical Process Control Engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the development of meaningful metrics and quality improvement tools. These include tools for retrieving / querying, analyzing, and presenting data. As the SPC Engineer you will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on individual processes to identify and improve capabilities, capacity, and provide status to Sr. Managers based on a developed series of metrics. Your work products will positively affect the manufacture of Beryllium products used in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance targeting and guidance systems, missile defense systems, space exploration, and satellites. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
